The pressure-reducing valve (PRV) is an integral piece of plumbing equipment in your home. It takes city water pressure and lowers it down to a safe pressure for your home. In your home, the ideal water pressure is somewhere between 60 PSI to 75 PSI. City water pressure can sometimes be as high as 120 psi. If your pressure-reducing valve is not functioning properly the higher city pressure can damage your water system in your home. We can adjust your current PRV if needed or replace it.
